DIY Wet Area Base Coat is a ready-to-use, moisture resistant drying type compound used as the first and second coat in a jointing system.
Typical Applications
DIY Wet Area Base Coat is typically used as the first and second coat in a 3 coat plasterboard or fibre cement jointing system. It is ideal for use in internal wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundries as well as alfresco areas. Only two coats are required if the joint is to be a substrate for tiles. For other applications a final coat of topping compound is required.

For the perfect finish in three coat system, DIY Wet Area Base Coat can be topped with Gyprock Less Mess Topping Compound, Gyprock Less Mess Multi-Purpose Joint Compound or any of the Professional range of Toppings or All-purpose compounds.
