The next step in the evolution of Gyprock

Introducing Gyprock Plus

Since CSR Gyprock introduced paper-faced plasterboard to Australia in 1947, we have proudly maintained our market leader position through a strong commitment to product and service innovations, allowing us to set the benchmark in the industry.

The recent, exciting introduction of Optimised Core technology in the new Supaceil product was another first-to-market innovation that has revolutionised the way plasterboards are manufactured in Australia.

We are now pleased to announce the launch of Gyprock Plus with Optimised Core technology. This amazing new 10mm plasterboard is significantly lighter with greater breaking strength and exceeds the Australian Standard AS2588 performance requirements. It is also lined with a 30% heavier face paper that contributes to the strength of the board and produces a crisper score and snap experience with cleaner cuts and squarer edges.

Gyprock Plus provides 7.5% greater machine-direction breaking strength than the previous standard 10mm plasterboard, with improved production consistency.

While the strength has been improved, the weight of Gyprock Plus has been optimised, making it easier to lift, carry and install.

Thicker Face Paper

Gyprock Plus is lined with a superior face paper, approximately 30% heavier than standard. The thicker face paper contributes to the strength of the board and produces a crisper score and snap experience, for cleaner cuts and squarer edges.

Gyprock Plus 10mm replaces Gyprock’s current Standard 10mm plasterboard. There is no change to Gyprock Standard 13mm plasterboard.
