Gyprock Easy-Base™ is a specially formulated pre-mixed taping compound developed for sites where water access is restricted, and for use in very hot and dry conditions.
Product Overview
Easy-Base™ is a drying type jointing compound used for the first and second coat in a three coat jointing system. Available as a convenient premixed compound it is ideal for sites with limited water access while its drying time makes it suitable for use in hot conditions where other compounds might dry before setting. Allow compound to dry and harden for approximately 24 hours (depending on atmospheric conditions) before recoating. Joints may be finished with any Gyprock topping or all-purpose compound and sanded smooth prior to decoration.
Typical Applications
Gyprock Easy-Base™ is typically used for the first and second coat in a three coat jointing system in residential and commercial walls and ceilings. These coats are used to bed in the jointing tape before applying a topping coat. Easy Base is designed for application with hand tools, mud boxes, automatic tapers and other machine tools.

Transportation and manual handling: Refer to the Gypsum Board Manufacturers of Australia (GBMA) website for recommended OH&S practices.
Storage: Store buckets of compound in a dry environment out of direct sunlight. Remove lid and stir prior to use. Unused product should be stored by resealing the original bucket. Remix prior to use. Discard if drying has commenced.
