COVID-19 Customer Update - Victoria 

Due to COVID and Victoria entering into Stage 4 lockdown, effective Monday 17th August our Victorian Gyprock Trade stores and customer service operating hours have changed.

Our Melbourne Metropolitan Gyprock Trade Centres will be open for business, from 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday and closed Saturdays.

Our Customer Service department will operate from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

COVID-19 Customer Update - Victoria

The Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews recently announced new restrictions for businesses which take effect this week.  Our first and overriding priority remains your health and safety as well as that of our employees and the wider community. We are working hard to continue to support you during this time and we are following government advice to ensure we are operating safely and in accordance with all restrictions. 

As CSR’s operations support the residential construction industry, we expect that all of our sites in Victoria will remain open with a COVID Safe Plan.  

In Gyprock, Cemintel and Himmel Interior Systems, we expect to be able to maintain supply to our customers:

  • Our manufacturing operations in Victoria and nationally continue to operate under COVID Safe Plans
  • We have put additional controls in place in Wetherill Park in Sydney, including mandatory masks, to further reduce the risk at this site which manufactures many products for national distribution
  • Our warehousing and distribution centres remain operational under High Risk COVID Safe Plans with enhanced obligations
  • Our GTC stores remain open to trade customers.  Our stores operate with a COVID Safe Plan and we ask that you follow site guidelines and co-operate with staff to support our safe operation. We encourage all customers to place orders ahead of time through CSR Connect, email or phone.
  • Some GTC stores in Victoria will operate with reduced trading times.  (all stores will not trade on Saturdays during the lockdown period) Please visit www.gyprocktrade.com.au or check your local store for their trading hours.

We’re all in this together. Price hold on Gyprock manufactured products.

In recognition of the uncertainty and challenges that face us all from the spread of COVID19 and the measures being taken to control it, we have decided to withdraw our announced price increase for June 1, 2020 and to hold prices until further notice. This applies to all customers, including those with contracted price increases. As always, we will try to give you the maximum possible notice of any future price changes so that you can factor these into your quotes.

 We know that many businesses and workers are really anxious about what may happen over the coming months. We are doing everything we can to ensure that our sites are safe for our customers and our people, that our factories are able to keep operating and our warehouses and Gyprock Trade stores are fully stocked to keep you in business. We have made changes at all our sites to ensure that we are able to operate within government guidelines of social distancing and hygiene.

 We want to continue to support you and we hope that you and your family, colleagues and friends stay safe and well in these challenging times. We are all in this together

COVID-19 - A message from CSR

We at CSR view the health and safety of our employees and our customers as our highest priority.

At the current time, all our offices and stores in Australia remain open for business and have taken measures to be able to operate in accordance with government health advice regarding social distancing and hygiene.

If you are unsure about whether to come to a store or office, we encourage you to phone ahead.

In this rapidly changing situation, we are doing all we can to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on our businesses, and there is currently no interruption in our ability to supply our customers.

We are paying close attention to both State and Federal government announcements and will provide updates on any changes to our trading in response to these announcements.

CSR encourages anyone seeking more information about shut down protocols and self-protection measures to consult both Australian and State/Territory Government health resources.
