As the first point of call for property buyers and sellers, a real estate office showcases its standard of service through its office surroundings. Showing prospective clientele the respect and knowledge they have of architecture and interiors – real estate offices look to high-quality materials and design to make an impact.

Helping to make a striking first impression at Raine & Horne’s commercial office in Wembley, WA, Gyprock’s recently launched Gyptone Perforated Plasterboard was used for the office ceiling. "The office renovation aim was to create a space with visual impact that featured premium materials which complemented the industrial look we wanted to achieve," says Terry Menage, Director of Raine & Horne Commercial WA.

With Gyptone Slotted Minigrid perforated plasterboard being fitted throughout the general office working areas, as well as the reception and boardroom, the result is not just a ceiling with high visual impact, but a ceiling that includes a multitude of additional performance-based features.

Reducing echo and noise reverberation, Gyptone Perforated is the ideal material for an office ceiling, allowing for private and sensitive conversations to stay between four walls and not go any further. Terry describes the benefits of Gyptone’s acoustic performance and noise reduction features as a huge drawcard.

Creating a more comfortable environment to concentrate and work, Terry says the office is now calmer and quieter. "Privacy is key in our line of work so creating a peaceful and relaxed environment where our clients feel comfortable is essential", he says.

As well as superior acoustic performance, Terry felt Gyptone’s Activ'Air technology was another must for the space "the health of our clients, employees and co-workers is important, the ceiling technology is another added bonus giving us one less thing to worry about".

"The aim was to create a space with visual impact that featured premium materials which complemented the industrial look we wanted to achieve." Terry Menage, Director, Raine & Horne Commercial WA.

A patented technology that converts formaldehyde into non-harmful still compounds that permanently lock in the board and cannot be released back into the air, Activ'Air technology can reduce the concentration of formaldehyde by up to 60 per cent when installed in ceilings, thus improving indoor air quality for a busy office space like this.

Terry loves the overall style he was able to achieve using Gyptone, "As part of the office revamp, we wanted a soft industrial style with a high-impact reception and boardroom area," explains Terry. "To achieve and maintain the industrial look without comprising on quality, as well as providing flow between the softer feel of the reception area, Gyptone achieved this seamless integration, with the added bonus of a quality finish."
