Gyprock Rapid Patch is a fast setting dry powder-based compound used for repairing holes, nicks and cracks in plasterboard, fibre cement, timber and masonry.

Product Overview

Once mixed with water, Rapid Patch forms a smooth, fast setting paste, with a working life of around 20 minutes, ideal for filling small cracks and dents with minimal shrinkage. It dries and is ready for sanding in around 40 minutes. 

It is a low VOC dry powder compound manufactured by Gyprock in Australia to stringent product specifications.

Typical Applications

Rapid Patch is suitable for repairs to walls and ceilings in both residential and commercial construction where plasterboard, fibre cement timber or masonry is used. It can also be used as an all-purpose compound for setting plasterboard joints.

Gyprock Rapid Patch is manufactured by CSR Gyprock in Australia to stringent product specifications.

Product Handling

Transportation and manual handling: Refer to the Gypsum Board Manufacturers of Australia (GBMA) website for recommended OH&S practices.

Storage: Store bags of compound in a dry environment, protected from the weather and out of direct sunlight. Tear bag open from top corner to dispense compound. Unused product which has been mixed with water should be discarded. Unused product in powder format should be stored in original bag: roll the top of the bag to loosely seal, and store in an airtight container.
