Download independent test certificates for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) levels in all Gyprock products as well as the GECA certificate for the Gyprock plasterboard and compounds ranges.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) can be generally defined as any organic compound that participates in atmospheric photochemical reactions.
The Green Building Council of Australia’s (GBCA) Green Star Rating Tools encourages product suppliers, designers and specifiers to use low VOC-emitting materials and finishes to minimise the level of VOCs in buildings.
The level of VOC for a product, specified in the VOC certificate can affect Green Star credits.
Gyprock has engaged CETEC Pty. Ltd to test our range of plasterboards, compounds and adhesives for levels of VOC. The following VOC certificates may be required if you are using Gyprock products on a Green Star project.

Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) Certificates
Gyprock EC08 was the first Australian plasterboard to be certified by GECA. In 2011, all six boards in the EC08 range and 10mm Gyprock Superchek were again first to receive GECA certification under the GECA04-2011 Panel Boards standard.
In 2014, Gyprock are proud to advise that sixteen plasterboard variants are now GECA accredited, as well as the majority of the Gyprock compounds range.
National Asthma Council Australia Sensitive Choice Certificate
Gyprock Sensitive plasterboard and EC08 Complete are both approved by the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice® program as a better plasterboard choice for people with allergies and asthma
