Gyprock DIY Wet Area Base Coat is a moisture resistant compound used for the taping and second coat when jointing plasterboard and fibre cement sheets in areas subject to moisture or high humidity.

Product Overview

DIY Wet Area Base Coat is a ready-to-use, moisture resistant drying type compound used as the first and second coat in a jointing system.

Typical Applications

DIY Wet Area Base Coat is typically used as the first and second coat in a 3 coat plasterboard or fibre cement jointing system. It is ideal for use in internal wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundries as well as alfresco areas. Only two coats are required if the joint is to be a substrate for tiles. For other applications a final coat of topping compound is required.
