Gyprock DIY Cornice Cement is used for fixing Gyprock cornice at wall and ceiling junctions where the substrate is plasterboard or fibre cement. It is also used for finishing cornice joints and mitres.

Product Overview

DIY Cornice Cement is a setting type compound rather than a drying type that provides superior adhesion with good initial grab and high bond strength. It is available in powder form and is mixed with water to a workable paste with a working life of 50 - 60 minutes.

Typical Applications

DIY Cornice Cement is typically used to install cornice between plasterboard walls and ceilings. It is also suitable for repairing existing cornice and cornice joints and is easily applied with a small broadknife.

Product Manufacture

Gyprock DIY Cornice Cement is manufactured by CSR Gyprock in Australia to stringent product specifications.

Product Handling

Transportation and manual handling: Refer to the Gypsum Board Manufacturers of Australia (GBMA) website for recommended OH&S practices.

Storage: Store bags of compound in a dry environment, protected from the weather and out of direct sunlight. Tear bag open from top corner to dispense compound. Unused product which has been mixed with water should be discarded. Unused product in powder format should be stored in original bag: roll the top of the bag to loosely seal, and store in an airtight container.
