Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive is used for adhering plasterboard and fibre cement wallboard to timber and steel frames.
Acrylic Stud Adhesive provides a superior bond which is backed by Gyprock’s 25 year Manufactured For Life warranty. It is easily identified, once installed, by its distinctive blue colour.
It is a low VOC acrylic compound manufactured by Gyprock in Australia to stringent product specifications and packed in blue coloured buckets and sausages.
Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive provides excellent adhesion properties when used for timber wall studs and ceiling joists as well as metal framing members.
Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive is fast and easy to apply by hand using a small broadknife or with a mechanical sausage gun. It will not skin in hot weather or thicken in the cold.
Acrylic Stud Adhesive is available as a pre mixed adhesive in a 5.5kg (approx. 4 litre) pail and a 900g sausage.
The Gyprock DIY products range also includes a 1kg bucket of Acrylic Stud Adhesive.
Installing Plasterboard with Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive
- Apply Acrylic Stud Adhesive to frames with a broadknife, forming small 'walnuts' of adhesive.
- Fix Gyprock plasterboard in place with nails or screws at specified fixing points and hold in place for adhesive to dry and harden.
Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive is not for use in fire rated systems or for walls where tiles will be applied. Adhesive must not be applied at fastener points.
Detailed application instructions can be found on the Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive pack.
